James W Jeffrey Jr. photographer , filmmaker, and native of Memphis Tennessee real commitment to photography began in Germany. He attended many European photo exhibits.

Upon his return to the United States is pursued photography academically at Brooks Institute of photography in Santa Barbara California initially Jeffrey majored in advertising photography and later he added motion picture production to his major course of study.

After graduation in 1971 he began to work as a commercial photographer and filmmaker in the southern California area he has worked for many magazines, television and motion picture studios.

Jeffery has several prints in the permanent a collection of the Books institute gallery and the Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture
